Service Description: Experienced pediatric oncology nurse, serving as a specialized resource to families in the hospital, home or community settings

Assistance and support provided includes:
  • review of child's diagnosis and treatment plan with family members
  • assistance with planning child's treatment / referral to health care services
  • help preparing and arranging supports and services
  • support to siblings
  • support during palliation
  • follow-up during bereavement

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Children birth to 18 years experiencing cancer and their families
