Service Description: Registered Midwives and a Certified Second Attendant provide prenatal, birth, and postpartum care to women in Huron County * service includes total prenatal care from early pregnancy, through labour and delivery, and maternal/newborn care until six weeks postpartum * birth is offered at home, Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Walkerton Hospital, Stratford General Hospital or the clinic birth suite * home visits provided for the first week after birth to help with breastfeeding and allow new parents to rest * prenatal home visits can be arranged for clients without transportation
