Service Description: Care for people of any age, gender identity or sexual orientation who have experienced domestic violence and/or sexual assault * various options are provided for care of each individual depending on the nature of the assault and time since it occurred
  • forensic evidence collection
  • medical examination and care
  • testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections
  • HIV prevention medication
  • testing and prevention of pregnancy due to a sexual assault
  • confidential documentation of the event
  • photographs of injuries
  • emotional support/crisis intervention
  • counseling
  • safety planning
  • referrals to community supports as needed
Fees: Covered by OHIP
Application: Call or drop in to the Urgent Care Centre or an emergency department and ask to speak to a member of the program team
