Service Description: Emergency room care * doctors, nurses, and other health professionals assess and treat life-threatening injuries or severe illness

Items to bring when coming to the Emergency Department:
  • Ontario Health Card
  • list of prescription and non-prescription medications, including vitamins and herbal remedies
  • supply of medications in case of long wait or need to be admitted to hospital
  • information about allergies or other medical conditions
  • extended/private health insurance in case of admission to hospital
  • money for parking
Fees: Most services covered by OHIP
Application: No referral required
