Service Description: Provides the Apprenticeship Incentive Grant (AIG), a taxable cash grant of $1,000 per year/level, up to a maximum of $2,000 per person, available to registered apprentices once they have successfully finished their first or second year/level (or equivalent) of an apprenticeship program in one of the Red Seal Trades

Provides the Apprenticeship Completion Grant (ACG), a taxable cash grant of $2,000 to registered apprentices who have completed their training to help them become certified in designated Red Seal Trades
Application: Apply online * applications, including supporting documents, must be received no later than June 30th of the calendar year following the date the applicant progressed in the apprenticeship program
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Apprenticeship Incentive Grant - Must be:
  • a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a Protected Person
  • registered in or have completed an apprenticeship program in a trade that is designated as a Red Seal trade

Apprenticeship Completion Grant - Must:
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a Protected Person
  • not be a high school student
  • have proof of a completed apprenticeship program as a registered apprentice in a designated Red Seal trade
  • provide proof of journey-person certification in a designated Red Seal trade
