Expanded Hours Expanded hours may be available by special request to the program supervisors and would involve an additional cost
Overnight Respite Available to all program clients throughout Huron County once a month * 2 beds at Goderich site on the 2nd Friday of the month and 3 beds at the Wingham site on the 4th Sunday of the month (additional fees apply) * In-home respite - staff are available to provide in-home respite services (minimum of two hours required for service - additional fees apply)
 
Specialization
Stroke Located at the Clinton site * runs twice a week for all Huron County clients * developed with the assistance of the Canadian Stoke Rehab Team * clients' progress is monitered and exercises are adapted to continually provide challenges to benefit the clients * referrals made through the CCAC or the Canadian Stroke Rehab Team - SAYS (Stroke and You Survivors) - located at the Clinton site and facilitated by the program supervisor * meets monthly to provide support to stroke survivors and their caregivers
Water Therapy - located at the Goderich and Clinton sites * a seasonal program at the local indoor pool (staff and volunteers assist) * transportation provided to and from the program * additional fees apply
 
Nutrition
Snack Morning and afternoon refreshments provided
Meal Full course meal served at lunch ( including salad and dessert)
Special Diet Special dietary needs can be accommodated upon request
 
Health Care Assistance
Medication Assistance Registered staff are available to assist clients with medication * prescription medication must be supplied in clearly marked pharmacy containers or preferably in blister packs directly to program staff * families strongly encouraged to keep registered nursing staff informed of all changes in medication
Mobility Assistance Staff fully trained to provide assistance in transfers, escorting and fall prevention * sit to stand lifts available at all sites * ceiling track lists available at most locations * whirlpool and washrooms are wheelchair accessible
Incontinence Staff provide support to clients with incontinence * clients are encouraged to wear briefs or pads * clients are required to provide their own briefs or pads and encouraged to have a spare change of clothes available
Bathing Staff assisted whirlpool bathing program available to program and community clients * doctor consent form required to proceed with this service (whirlpool bathing lift systems have weight limits - additional fees apply)
Foot Care Qualified staff provide foot care service as required (additional fees apply) * nail care provided by staff with no additional fees
registered staff assist clients with weight and blood pressure monitoring on a monthly basis * hair care availalbe for additional fee

Secured Environment All Day Program locations are secured facilities
Transportation Included in service fee * staff can help arrange transportation
Escorted Shopping Trips - available at all program locations * provides escorted shopping trips throughout the year * staff and volunteers assist clients with their personal shopping needs * trips encourage independence and community involvement for individuals who participate (additional fees apply)
