Service Description: Provides community-based services for older adults and adults living with disabilities or chronic illnesses * helps clients and their caregivers maintain independence, enhance their quality of life, and keep them living in their homes longer

Day Away - Provides socialization, recreation, physical/cognitive exercise, and caregiver relief in a medically monitored environment * clients come to the program to take part in a wide variety of activities assisted by professional staff and trained volunteers * a meal with friends, a game of cards, music, exercise, crafts, and visiting with new friends are all common activities

Friendly Visiting - Matches volunteers with an isolated older adult or an adult living with disabilities to provide socialization and opportunities to interact with others

Hot and Frozen Meals on Wheels - Volunteers deliver locally prepared meals to residents of Grey and Bruce who struggle to obtain and prepare meals for themselves * most dietary requirements can be met including vegetarian, gluten-free, low fat, low sodium, suitable for diabetics, etc.

Housekeeping - Delivers support to those who live in their own homes and need assistance with household chores and/or meal preparation * services include
  • routine cleaning
  • laundry
  • meal planning and preparation
  • basic pet care
  • errands
  • grocery shopping


Overnight Respite - Provides caregivers with an extended break during the evening and overnight hours

Transportation - Accessible transportation services for residents of Grey and Bruce counties who have difficulty accessing existing transportation * transportation is provided by trained volunteers using their personal vehicles and paid drivers utilizing wheelchair-accessible vans
