New Website Brings Hundreds of Health Care Resources to Residents of the Central West Community

An innovative new website is bringing accurate and up-to-date information about health services to the fingertips of residents and care providers across the Central West region. The Central West CCAC officially launched www.CentralWesthealthline.ca this week with over 1,293 records of health care resources, organizations and programs serving those who live in Brampton, Caledon, Malton, Etobicoke, and Dufferin County.

“CentralWestHealthline.ca provides easy access to reliable information, empowering people to find the services they need close to home,” says Cathy Hecimovich, CEO, Central West CCAC. “Access to high-quality information is a critical component of our health system, and our staff have validated every record on the site. We are helping ensure people have the information they need, when they need it.”

Users can choose to receive local information first or search the entire Central West region. Health events, news, careers and library sections provide other avenues to much needed health services information. The site also adheres to industry standards to ensure that its content is of the highest quality.

CentralWestHealthline.ca is an additional source of information provided by the CCAC, Hecimovich notes, and complements an already robust assortment of information and referral services. “Our qualified staff will continue to provide information about health services over the phone and in person,” she explains, “as well as continue to make referrals to a variety of community supports, health care and other services. The CentralWestHealthline.ca is another source of this information that is accessible to anyone, anywhere, at any time, and it will continue to grow and expand. We welcome submissions from organizations serving our community.”
