First Diversity Career Fair and Business Opportunities

The fair is to promote inclusiveness and the importance of diversity hiring in the rapidly changing labour force environment and a slowing London job market. This event is expected to showcase the collaboration of local businesses, services providers, trades and industries providing opportunities in diversity recruiting in our city. The fair is designed for inter-cultural communities, new Canadians, landed immigrants, unemployed, youths, seniors, women in transition, single parents, people with disabilities, college and university graduates, transitional professionals, seasonal workers, foreign professionals, suburban London residents. The event truly serves for diverse and a variety of potential employees.

In an effort to achieve the key elements of our Mission, CALA is organizing a career fair event within the context of the jobs and business opportunities titled “First Diversity Career Fair & Business Opportunities”. This event will take place on June 26, 2014 from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the CALA facilities located at Goodwill Building Centre, 255 Horton Street, London, Ontario.

The main objectives of this event are to:

  • Promote employment and business opportunities;
  • Increase knowledge in career preparation and job searching; and
  • Promote the inclusion of diversity in the local job market.

The Canadian Latin-American Association (CALA) is a non-for profit organization established in 2007 in the City of London, Ontario. Our mission is to contribute to the quality of life of all members of the Latin American Community in the City of London and surroundings by promoting respect to cultural diversity, social inclusion, civic engagement, and a healthy lifestyle.
