“Walk & Talk with your Diabetes Team” - New Walking Program in Stratford

Join your Diabetes Education Team starting September 29 as they walk rain or shine through Stratford!

“The walking program is an exciting new initiative that the Huron Perth Diabetes Education team is working on. We know that sticking to your fitness habits on your own can be hard, so a group exercise program like this can give our patients a motivational boost and help them stay active,“ says Victoria Zimmer Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. “We are walking side by side with our patients for an hour two days a week. We’ll be answering questions they may have about their diabetes and helping them set goals and meet targets for their blood sugar control. The Walk & Talk program kicks off on September 29, 2014 at 8am at the Rotary Complex in Stratford with a tasty snack to follow!”
