Today Scientific Director Dr. David Hill joined with Dr. John Lewis’s colleagues at Lawson Health Research Institute in congratulating him on his appointment to the University of Alberta. Dr. Lewis will be creating a new translational prostate research program based on the ongoing program at Lawson, which is funded through the Robert Hardie Chair in Prostate Cancer Research.

“We congratulate Dr. Lewis on this promotion, which builds on his groundbreaking work here at Lawson and which is a great move for him and his family. Lawson’s leading team of prostate cancer researchers looks forward to future opportunities to collaborate with Dr. Lewis and his Alberta team,” said Dr. David Hill, Scientific Director, Lawson Health Research Institute. “We are actively recruiting a new Hardie Chair to lead our team of dedicated and talented prostate cancer researchers. In the meantime, our leading-edge research on prostate cancer continues.”

“The Robert Hardie Chair in Prostate Cancer Research at Lawson will continue to be a donor-funded position helping advance this vital research in London,” said Dan Ross, President and CEO of London Health Sciences Foundation. “We look forward to another outstanding scientist filling the Chair role, within an already brilliant team.”
