Family Day of PLAY

Celebrate Ontario’s mid-winter holiday by taking part in the Family Day of PLAY. Families are encouraged to participate by being physically active on February 16. Check out the full list of activities happening in your community at www.playbrucegrey.com or join the PLAY Facebook page.

All forms of physical activity benefit your health – try skiing, snowshoeing, skating, sledding or simply take the dog for a walk.

This event is organized by the PLAY in Bruce Grey physical activity collaborative, a partnership of the 17 municipalities, two counties and the Grey Bruce Health Unit. The mission of PLAY is for “Grey Bruce communities to work collaboratively to promote PLAY as a key aspect of physical activity and overall health.”

“Family Day is an opportunity for families to be active together. It’s a great time of year to explore the outdoors and the heavy snowfall should make possible a variety of winter activities” said Jason Weppler, Health Promoter at the Grey Bruce Health Unit. “We want to encourage Grey Bruce residents to include a little more activity into their day.”

Visit www.playbrucegrey.com for more information. PLAY in Bruce Grey encourages you to get active by “PLAY’ing your way, every day!”
