Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance Board Member Announcement
Board Chair Mary Atkinson is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Alex Herpers to the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance Board of Directors, representing the catchment area served by the St. Marys Memorial Hospital. A resident of St. Marys, Alex joins the Board to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Colin Pearson who moved to Newfoundland with his family in December.
An executive level business leader, Alex is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant with experience in the areas of strategic planning, human resource management, corporation administration and communication. He brings a wealth of business experience to HPHA’s skills-based board.
“We were extremely pleased to have such a qualified individual join the Board,” stated Board Chair Mary Atkinson. “The Board extends their most sincere thanks to Colin for his tremendous contributions to our healthcare system while on the Board.”

A voluntary Alliance formed in 2003, The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) operates as one system with four sites – Clinton Public Hospital, St. Marys Memorial Hospital, Seaforth Community Hospital and Stratford General Hospital. The Alliance consists of a single Board, Administration and Staff, separate Foundations and Auxiliaries, with an operating budget of approximately $128 million.
