“HPHA is fortunate to employ 350 Registered Nurses, 130 Registered Practical Nurses and two Nurse Practitioners,” says Donnalene Tuer Hodes, Program Director Surgical Services & Maternal Child and Chief Nursing Executive. “We would like to thank all our nurses for their ongoing commitment and the exceptional care they continuously provide to our patients.”

Under the theme “NURSES: With you every step of the way” HPHA will celebrate our nurses who, in varied roles from direct care to education and administration, accompany our patient’s on their healthcare journey. HPHA nurses work with patients of all ages, in all stages and circumstances of life and truly are the heart and back bone of our health care system.

“The theme for this year’s Nurse’s week exemplifies the very important role that our nurses play in supporting patients at the point of care,” says Mary Atkinson HPHA Board of Directors Chair. “The high level of commitment to quality patient care that is shown by our nurses translates into positive patient outcomes. We are very proud of the contribution to patient care made by our nurses every day!”
