Perth District Health Unit Receives Donation to Help Families Afford Nutritious Food
The Perth District Health Unit recently received a $1,000 donation from the Festival Jubilee Chapter IODE (Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire), which will help us to continue to provide nutrition support to families in Perth County.
The money is used to purchase milk coupons for pregnant women and young families. It enables families to purchase bagged milk to support healthy nutrition.
“We are very appreciative of this donation,” says Tara Smith, Public Health Nurse. “This donation will provide Perth County families greater access to nutritious food and will help support healthy growth and development in children.”
The mission statement of the Festival Jubilee Chapter IODE is: “women dedicated to a better Canada,” and it supports a wide variety of children’s and women’s services in Stratford and area.
