Conference to Focus on Issues Related to Cannabis Legalization
The annual injury prevention Not By Accident conference takes place on Thursday, September 17, at London’s Best Western Lamplighter Inn and Conference Centre. The conference runs from 8:15am to 4pm.
The theme of this year’s conference is: Cannabis Legalization: Is this a Trip we Want to Take? The conference will bring together representatives from the OPP, Ministry of Transportation, the medical community, public health and other sectors.
Conference attendees will hear law enforcement and legal perspectives, thoughts from the medical community, ideas from Centre of Addiction and Mental Health, and about the Colorado experience where cannabis is legalized.
The purpose of the conference is not to take a position on the issue, but rather to encourage discussion.
