London to host national conference on homelessness

The City of London has been selected to host the 4th annual Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness conference November 2 – 4,  2016.

The announcement was made today at this year’s conference in Montreal.

The City will welcome more than 800 conference delegates from across Canada who will continue efforts to achieve lasting solutions to end homelessness.

“We are working with our community partners to solve homelessness in London and together we can solve homelessness across Canada,” said Mayor Matt Brown. “We are looking forward to welcoming delegates from across Canada to our city so that we can keep this critical conversation going.”

The Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness is an initiative to end homelessness in Canada by creating a national movement to prevent and end homelessness in communities across the country.

"London is a hotbed of innovation and action on ending homelessness in Canada," said Tim Richter, President & CEO of the CAEH. "It was only a matter of time before we brought our conference to London and we can't wait to be there."
