Another One for the Record Books: HPHA Surpasses United Way Workplace Campaign Goal

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) has officially wrapped up their 2015 United Way Workplace Campaign and in doing so has once again broke their fundraising record. The campaign, which involves employee donations, either through payroll or one-time contribution, raised $50,276.88 surpassing their most ambitious fundraising goal set to date - $50,000.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the HPHA Team for once again stepping up and supporting the United Way Perth-Huron’s Annual Fundraising Campaign,” stated Andrew Williams, HPHA President & CEO. “As Campaign Chair for Huron and Perth, I have witnessed first-hand the impact that a successful campaign has on so many residents of Huron and Perth. I am optimistic that as many individuals and businesses as possible will join the HPHA in contributing to the Campaign and, more importantly, to “changing the stories” of those who look to the United Way when in need.”

HPHA has seen very generous workplace campaigns in the past couple of years, raising $44,108.90 in 2013 and $48,000.39 last year. Contributing to the success of the campaigns has been the “Work a Day for the United Way” donor option in which employees contribute one 7.5 hour work day over the course of 26 pay periods, making donating affordable for employees at various levels in the organization.

“United Way Perth-Huron is truly thankful for the incredible generosity of HPHA employees!” says Ryan Erb, Executive Director of the United Way Perth-Huron. “Their record breaking donations will help thousands of people in our community to move from poverty to possibility, to help kids be all they can be and to build strong communities.”
