Scotiabank Match fuels United Way 5th Care-A-Van of Hope

Scotiabank Match fuels United Way 5th Care-A-Van of HopeDonate at any Perth or Huron Scotiabank between December 1st and 10th and it will be matched up to $15,000!

United Way Perth-Huron is once again excited to announce a partnership with Scotiabank for the 2015 Care-A-Van of Hope.  Scotiabank branches across Perth and Huron will be collecting donations from Tuesday December 1st to Thursday December 10th.  Through their Team Scotia Community Program, Scotiabank will be generously matching donations up to $15,000.  For those who haven't made a donation this year, now is the time to double your effort.

“We are honoured to be involved with this matching program for the fifth year,” said Don McNabb, Community Branch Manager at Scotiabank. “We know there is need in our community, and Scotiabank is happy to work with the United Way of Perth-Huron to help make our community better for everyone.”

Andrew Williams, 2015 Campaign Chair says, "We each have the power to help strengthen the fabric of our community. Through United Way we can donate the time and money to help thousands of residents across Huron and Perth, improving lives and strengthening families".  "I work in both counties, as the President & CEO of HPHA, and see first-hand the importance of the United Way, so it is an honour and a privilege to have been asked to Chair the campaign. I look forward to engaging as many supporters as possible to assure its success during the Care-A-Van of Hope."

On Thursday, December 10th, UWPH staff, volunteers and supporters will travel to Scotiabank branches in St. Marys, Exeter, Goderich, Listowel, Milverton, Mitchell and Stratford to collect the money raised at the branches and accept additional donations. We will hear stories from United Way member agencies and receive greetings from local dignitaries.  All are welcome to join us at one of the stops to celebrate the work of the United Way and learn more about how donations are helping to create change.  If you would like more information on the schedule of events for the Care-A-Van of Hope, please visit www.perthhuron.unitedway.ca.

UWPH would also like to thank Cherrey Buslines for their sponsorship.
