Huron-Perth Catholic Dsitrict School Board and Stratford Festival Partner to Offer Master Classes
The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board and the Stratford Festival are pleased to introduce a new partnership. Our collaboration will begin with a series of Master Classes in April for students in Grades 6-8. Students will learn about behind-the scenes craftsmanship and on stage performance by working closely with artists from the Stratford Festival. The partnership will continue in the fall with artists from the Stratford Festival in collaboration with the drama department at St. Michael C.S.S. to offer a new Musical Theatre course for secondary students.
“We are excited to be partnered with the Stratford Festival,” said Dawne Boersen, Superintendent of Education, at the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board. “We are very proud that we have forged this partnership with our nation’s leading classical theatre, to offer unique learning opportunities for students in our region." The Open Master classes are as follows:
- Stage Combat – Thursday April 7 at the Stratford Festival from 7pm-8:30pm
- Prop Building – Thursday April 14 at the Stratford Festival from 7pm to 8:30pm
