22 Minute London Makeover

The City of London is calling on businesses and schools to roll up their sleeves for the 11th annual city-wide "20 Minute London Makeover", called the 22 Minute London Makeover this year as it lands on Earth Day, Friday, April 22.

The goal of the 22 Minute London Makeover is to involve businesses and schools to help clean up their properties or nearby public areas. Shop owners, businesses and schools are encouraged to gather their employees/students, provide them with garbage bans to collect litter and clean up for 22 minutes outside. City of London employees will be out at various locations throughout the city.

"Each year we are amazed at what employees and students can accomplish in a short period of time when they roll up their sleeves and get to work," said Mayor Matt Brown. "The 22 Minute Makeover is a great way to celebrate Earth Day. Thank you to all the businesses, students and volunteers for participating."

This event is brought to you by London Clean & Green, a partnership of numerous businesses and community groups dedicated to improving our city's environment by cleaning up public spaces. Keeping the Forest City clean contributes to community vitality and a healthy natural environment for all Londoners.

It is a great team building activity and also helps spruce up areas around schools and businesses," notes Jay Stanford, Director of Environment, Fleet and Waste.
