London Clean & Green Community Cleanup Day

The annual London Clean & Green Community Cleanup Day takes place this Saturday, April 23 at various locations across the city. This is our 21st annual spring cleaning and everyone is invited to come out and join us as we tidy up the Forest City!

"This is a great opportunity for friends and neighbours to come together and how pride in the neighbourhoods by tidying up," said Mayor Matt Brown. "Each year, thousands of Londoners come together, with garbage bags in hands, and support this very special community event."

Volunteers will be picking up garbage and doing their part to beautify the city. Designated supply sites and litter drop off locations will be set up where volunteers can get equipped with garbage bags, gloves, etc. You can add your own location anywhere in the city. All you need to is register, then find us on Facebook and post your clean up photos!

As an added incentive, participating high school students can earn credits towards their Certificate of Community Service.

The designated locations below will have supplies available Saturday morning at 9am and provides a place to drop-off garbage bags of litter until 12noon:

  • Central: Covent Garden Market Square
  • Central East: Hendrix Restaurant Equipment (Rectory St and Dundas St)
  • North: Home Depot (Fanshawe Park Rd and Adelaide St)
  • West: Canada Games Aquatic Centre (Wonderland Rd north of Lawson Rd)
  • Northwest: Moffatt & Powell (Hyde Park Rd north of Sarnia Rd)
  • East: Argyle Arena (Wavell St east of Clarke Rd)
  • South: South London Pool (Bradley Ave and Jalna Blvd)

The City of London thanks all sponsors and volunteers for their enthusiastic participation year after year.
