Missing the Blues? London BluesFest to support Spincal Cord Research at Parkwood Hospital announced

A new summer festival will make its inaugural debut in Victoria Park this summer and Blues fans will rejoice. With four states, 2 licensed areas and hours of free Blue entertainment, the London BluesFest in downtown London is exactly what blues lovers near and far are in need of! The festival will run from Friday, August 26th from 6pm to 11pm and August 27th and 28th from 1pm to 11pm each day.

Headline artists will be announced on June 13th and will include international, regional and local blues artists.

The blues won't stop at 11pm, in fact the party in downtown London 'Five Bar Blues' tour just begins as the main stage closes. Live blues will take over five bars. Locations and schedule information will be announced in the coming weeks at www.londonbluesfest.com.

This 3-day festival is in support of Spinal Cord Research at Parkwood Hospital.

"This event has tremendous potential to attract people from across the region to London for a weekend of live blues and great food in our downtown," said Chris Campbell, Director of Culture and Entertainment Tourism at Tourism London. "London has always had a strong blues fan bcase and a great local blues community."

The London BluesFest will be produced by London musician and businessman Ron Schroeyens. Ron as been active in the local music scene since 1980. Through Ron's work with not-for-profits, his vision has always been to start a new blues festival in London that gave back to the community.
