Second Annual Newcomer Champion Award Nominations are Now Open!
We are excited to launch the Newcomer Champion Awards for 2016 - Building welcoming, caring and inclusive communities!
The Newcomer Champion Awards supports the building of prosperous, vibrant, and connected communities by encouraging citizenship and engagement. Two types of awards will be granted:
Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Award - This category focuses on building welcoming, and caring communities through work that is being done to help newcomers.
Newcomer Community Leader Award - This category focuses on a newcomer that is helping to build a welcoming, caring, and inclusive community by giving back to the community in some capacity.
Nominations are now open, and will close on September 30, 2016. Please follow the links above to submit your nominations. The winners will be presented to the community during Citizenship Week 2016.
