For the past three years, Londoners have enjoyed
fingertip access to the latest information on health-
related services in London and Middlesex. Now
the same great service is available in
neighbouring Oxford County.
“Thehealthline.ca was providing a very
important and much-valued service,” says John
Oosterink, Executive Director of CCAC-Oxford,
which is taking the lead in the project. “It just
made sense to build on that success and provide
similar value and convenience for the people of
Oxford.”
More than 150 services in Oxford County have
provided information to thehealthline.ca. The
home page now includes an option for Oxford.
When users click on the link, they receive
information about Oxford services first, followed by
services in London and elsewhere available to
Oxford residents. Altogether the site includes 600
organizations and their programs that serve
Oxford.
Like users in London and Middlesex, Oxford
users will also have the option of receiving this
newsletter, and checking out the job listings,
articles and news releases, and the event
calendar. Organizations can submit jobs, events
and articles, and are able to update their listings
online.
The expanded website will be officially
launched on April 20, at the Oxford County
Community Health Awareness Day. This is the first
step in a staged regional expansion that will
ultimately include Elgin, Perth, Huron and Bruce
Counties.
