LHIN announces key appointments

Tony Woolgar, CEO of the South West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), recently announced the appointment of four key members of his team, and the permanent location of the LHIN’s administrative centre at 201 Queens Ave in London.

The South West LHIN is one of 14 organizations created across Ontario. LHINs will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and funding health care services in their communities, including hospitals, Community Care Access Centres, long-term care, mental health, community health centres and addiction and community support services.

Elisabete Way has been appointed Senior Director of Performance, Contracts and Allocation. Among other initiatives, Way spearheaded the implementation of a health system performance report in New Zealand that served as a benchmark for other hospitals. She also has extensive experience in the private sector.

Kelly Gillis, who most recently worked as City- wide Director of Medical Services for the London Hospitals, will become Senior Director of Planning, Integration and Community Engagement. Gillis also has experience as a Systems Integration Leader for the Huron-Perth Hospitals Partnership, and as a Senior Health Planner with both the Huron-Perth and Thames Valley District Health Councils.

Jodi Martin, who helped set up and manage the Help Desk for a federally-funded telehealth project and worked with several London health organizations, will serve as Office Manager. Dianne Marshall, who will be Mr. Woolgar’s Executive Assistant, held a similar EA position at the CCAC-Oxford.
