Just two months after the new South West CCAC
launched, the organization is moving forward to
develop a culture that will improve the quality and
consistency of service across the region, and could
become a model for community care throughout
Ontario.
On February 27, 2007, South West CCAC staff
and service providers gathered in London to take
the next step in establishing Client-Driven Care as
the central theme around which care is organized
and practiced. The workshop heard results from
Phase I of a Participatory Action Research Project
set up last year to explore methods for expanding
Client-Driven Care across the South West. Later in
the day, participants were asked to identify further
strategies for implementing Client-Driven Care
and commit themselves to implementing them
over the next nine months.
