Service Description: 15-bed residential supportive treatment and housing service for men with severe and often long-term addiction issues that have not been met by non-abstinent community treatment approaches
Program offers:
  • counselling and support, life skills development, and internal and external programming, including a trauma group and access to a partnering Community Addictions Treatment Services program
Goals and Objectives:
  • provide a safe, substance-free home and early recovery programming for men committing to a future independent of substance use
Fees: Free
Application: Self or agency referral * assessment required - contact intake staff during office hours * all referrals must complete the mandatory Provincial Screening Tools and an intake assessment which will assess whether residential treatment is recommended
Waitlist information and intake procedures can be obtained by calling G&B House intake and admissions at 519-371-3642 ext 1580 between the hours of 8am and midnight

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Males 16 years and older, with substance use problems who:
  • your personal life and health have been negatively impacted by your substance use
  • tried controlling or stopping your use of alcohol and/or drugs but struggle to stay on track
  • tried addiction counselling and treatment, but it hasn’t been effective
  • need a safe, non-using environment to get your life back on track
  • want to abstain from using substances long-term
  • can commit to a minimum 3 month stay
  • do not have any outstanding criminal charges
  • do not require any narcotic medication
  • do not have any serious mental health concerns
  • do not have any mobility or self-care concerns
