Service Description: Assistance with daily chores, such as laundry, light housekeeping, pet care, errands, shopping, and meal preparation * service providers visit weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or seasonally

In-home supports for the activities of daily living * personal care support worker helps with personal care
  • bathing and grooming
  • assistance with special care as directed by health care professionals
  • assistance with mobility and eating
  • help with morning and evening routines
  • limited homemaking services

These services are often put in place by the Ontario Health atHome South West area Coordinator for people returning home from hospital based on level of help and support determined at time of discharge

Private Personal Support Services can also be purchased * services are the same and funding may be available through Department of Veteran Affairs or Insurance
