Service Description: Hospice programs focus on the care, comfort, and quality of life of a person with a serious illness who is approaching the end of life:

Individual Hospice Visiting - Specially trained volunteers are matched with clients in their homes to provide emotional, social and spiritual support to those living with a life-limiting illness and their families

Bereavement programs provide information, skills, knowledge and coping strategies to help you through your grieving process:

VON Grief Care: A Place to Begin - Serves as a starting point to assist people in navigating life after the loss of a loved one * provides a supportive environment through an open-group format, offering education and fostering connections to help cope with grief

Journey Through Grief - This is a six-week closed-group program for adults 18 and older * take comfort in knowing the group of people you begin with, will be your group for the duration of the program * Journey Through Grief helps participants in making positive life adjustments during the grief and mourning process by providing information, education and coping techniques related to the grieving journey * multiple groups are run in Oxford County, throughout the year

Individual Bereavement Support - Grief is as unique as the person experiencing it * one-to-one grief support sessions are scheduled on an individual basis and are directed according to the needs of the bereaved * support is offered by specially trained volunteers * visits can take place in the client’s home, by phone or virtually
 
Kids’ Circle and Teens’ Circle - Closed group, multi-week program providing supportive care for grieving children ages 5-12 and teens ages 13-17 * this evidence-based program helps your child navigate life and change after the death of a loved one through age appropriate activities, learning to deal with big emotions, coping techniques and conversation. These programs offer youth an opportunity to connect with others who may have experienced a similar loss, nurturing unique connections

Regional Grief Support Groups for Specific Death-related Losses - Four virtual support groups for individuals grieving specific losses, including: Death by Suicide, Addiction-related Death, Death of a Child and Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD)

Grief and Support Library - Library that carries over 400 resources for all ages, to support you on your grief journey * a free lending library, open to the general public
