Service Description: Criminal Duty Counsel - Assists persons who do not have a lawyer with them for some in person and "virtual" attendances.  Assistance may be available on matters of adjournment, pleas, applications for bail and submissions as to sentence, young offenders cases in courts of first appearance. Assistance is subject to legal and financial eligibility. Call 519-421-2491 preferably in advance of your court date for legal information, information about eligibility for service and what service is in person. 

Family Duty Counsel -  Advice regarding legal rights, obligations and court process, assistance in negotiations and settling issues on a temporary or final basis * referrals to other sources such as mediation, assist with adjournments, motions, child protection matters and default matters. Service is based on legal and financial eligibility requirements. Some in-person service is available at the courthouse. Call 519-421-2491 preferably in advance of your court date for legal information, information about eligibility for service and when service is available in person.
