Service Description
:
Culturally appropriate health and social services for Indigenous peoples * aims to improve the social supports and conditions that affect long-term health
Aboriginal Alcohol and Drug Worker Program
- Community-based addictions services * prevention, intervention, and follow-up care
Aboriginal Community Justice Program
- Post-charge diversion program for Indigenous peoples who are in conflict with the law * offender is encouraged to take responsibility for their actions * administers healing circles to help individual involved
Aboriginal Family Support Program
- Community-based programs and groups for Indigenous parents with young children * guidance on child's developmental stage * opportunity to socialize with other parents
Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program
- Prenatal and postnatal support for at-risk pregnant Aboriginal women and babies up to six months of age * holistic and culturally sensitive programming
Life Long Care Program
- Supports for older adults, and adults with disabilities * helps people remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible * culturally appropriate services for Indigenous adults
