Service Description: Seating clinic to help improve comfort, posture, and the ability to perform daily activities with specialized seating or mobility devices * therapists assess and prescribe wheelchairs and related seating equipment to adults with complex seating needs * therapists are registered authorizers with the Assistive Devices Program
Fees: Set fees * publicly-funded services available to those who are eligible * funding may be available through the Assistive Devices Program
Application: Client, healthcare professionals, care providers, or family may request an assessment * medical referral required for wheelchair/seating assessment
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Adults who require an assessment for wheelchair or related seating * must have a valid OHIP card (or alternate payment plan)
