Service Description: Variety of programming to assist children and youth with healthy development offered in various locations throughout Elgin County (St Thomas, Aylmer, Belmont, Springfield, Straffordville, Dutton, Rodney and West Lorne)

Kids Creative Cuisine - Program for children and youth ages 9-13 to learn how to safely prepare and enjoy health recipes * hygiene, kitchen safety, reading recipes, kitchen equipment, measuring ingredients, table manners, table setting, healthy choices

Red Cross Home Alone - Stay Safe! - Program offers basic first aid and safety skills for youth 9-13 years old * participants learn about being safe when they are without the direct supervision of a parent, guardian, or trusted adult, both at home and in their communities

Red Cross Babysitting Courses - Teaches children and youth ages 11 and older the responsibilities of babysitting, safety tips for children of all ages, basic child care skills, and what to do in emergencies * Red Cross manual and completion card

Aquatics Programs - Lifesaving Society swimming lessons offered throughout the year at various facilities in Aylmer, both indoor and outdoor depending on the season
