Service Description: Assists newcomer students and their families to access education services across the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) * introduction to Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) * orientation to TVDSB Secondary Schools * conducts assessments for literacy, math, and language skills * assessments help determine program/school placement

Provides families with an overview of the Ontario school system and an introduction to community resources and services available to families
Fees: Free
Application: Call for appointment * must complete language proficiency and math assessments * need to provide proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate, Registration of Birth, Baptismal Certificate, Passport) and Proof of Canadian citizenship or Permanent Resident status (Birth Certificate, Registration of Birth, Citizenship Card, Canadian Passport, Permanent Resident Card, Landing Papers)
Students who are not Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents must contact the Student Admissions Officer
