Service Description:
|
Offers people with disabilities an opportunity to ski and snowboard with support of trained volunteers and adaptive equipment
- programs located across Ontario
- Learn to Race Program - for those who are more independent and have a need for speed
- volunteers constantly needed to help support on the ski hill, with program administration and on Board of Directors
Programs held at:
- Sault Ste Marie (Searchmont), Haliburton (Sir Sam's), Barrie (The Heights), Barrie (Snow Valley), Barrie (Horseshoe Resort), Caledon (CSC), and Oshawa, (Brimacombe)
- Learn to Race Program is offered at Craigleith Ski Club in Collingwood.

individual assessments necessary to determine suitability for program
registration begins in September/October at individual participating locations

must obtain CADS membership ($47) for participation, but membership does not guarantee placement in program and should only be purchased after acceptance into program

Children, youth and adults with disabilities who require additional support and are unable to participate with existing ski schools ; volunteers must 18 years or older and are required to complete Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening
