Dear Friends of CMHA Oxford
Continuing on our journey of integration, despite the challenges of COVID, we are happy to announce that the Boards of Directors of Addiction Services of Thames Valley, CMHA Elgin Middlesex and CMHA Oxford have agreed in principle to a full integration. This moves us now to phase III of four phases. In this phase we will develop a 3-year business plan and our transition plan.
After a detailed comparative analysis across the agencies and the development of a conceptual service delivery model that is integrated across the region, we believe that we will be able to serve people better. Together, we will create a stronger addiction and mental health integrated organization that will focus on serving people through regional centres, hubs and mini-hubs. People will be able to receive better service closer to home in the community of their choice.
Through this phase we will remain three distinct agencies, and we will take advantage of opportunities presented to move toward integration where it makes sense. Through this, we will focus on building the benefits of a regional organization while also maintaining strong local leadership and community-level connections with the end goal of improving mental health and addictions services.
