Service Description: Adult and Continuing Education Centre:

  • High School Diploma Program - Courses designed for adult learners who want to complete their high school diploma
  • Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) for Mature Students (18+) - High school credits for prior learning and experience acquired at home, at work, in training, and volunteer work
  • English as a Second Language - Classes designed to provide life and work skills, prepare students for citizenship, assist work towards high school diploma, and prepare for college
  • Literacy and Essential Skills -  Non-credit program with courses for adults who wish to update their skills for employment, education and training * focus on OSSD preparation using emotional intelligence approaches

Elementary and Secondary Programs:

  • International Native and Language Programs - Non-credit classes available to students 4 years and over * credit classes in some languages for students in grades 9, 10, 11 and 12
  • Night Credit Classes - Opportunity to earn or upgrade credits necessary for entrance to university or college

Adult, Elementary and Secondary Summer School:

  • Secondary Credits -  On-site and online credits for adults and secondary school students
  • Literacy and Essential Skills
  • Adult English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • International Language Summer School - Elementary programs for selected languages during the summer months
  • Literacy and Numeracy Camps - For students in grades 6, 7 and 8


Fees: Free * $50 book deposit for credit courses
