Service Description: Care of cardiac patients requiring cardiac diagnosis and treatment

  • Echocardiography Lab - Examination of the heart and related structures using sound waves
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) Lab - Diagnostic testing of the electrical activity within an individual's heart
  • Stress Lab - Assesses heart problems through a stress test
  • Pacemaker and Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD) Clinics

Same-Day Procedures:

  • Cardiac Catheterization Lab - X-ray techniques to study the heart
  • Cardiac (Device) Implant Lab
  • Electrophysiology Lab - Care of cardiac arrhythmia patients
  • Laser Lead Extraction Program
  • Cardioversions
  • Transesophagael Echocardiogram (TEE) Room - Specialized form of echocardiogram, producing images of the heart from inside, rather than outside the body

  • Cardiac Social Work - Clinical social worker available to provide assessments, counselling and discharge planning services

Inherited Heart Rhythm Clinic - Comprehensive assessment and care for patients with inherited heart rhythm disorders * This is accomplished by an individualized, multidisciplinary, evidence-based approach that involve medical leadership and assessment, education
