Service Description: Breast screening for early detection of breast cancer in women age 50-74

Screening includes mammography (x-rays of breast tissue) and screening results

Women who are found to have abnormal results are referred for additional tests with appointments sent to both patient and patient's care provider

Women who are found to have normal results receive a letter and screening report and a notice when they are eligible for next screening test

OBSP screening mammography is not appropriate for patients who have implants, previous breast cancer, or a new set of breast concerns such as lump, discharge * contact physician or patient care provider to book a diagnostic mammogram

Application: Call for appointment * no referral required for women between 50 and 74 years and older * medical referrals with a requisition are also accepted for women between 30-69 years identified as having a high-risk
