Service Description: 15-bed inpatient program for people who have had a traumatic or non-traumatic spinal cord injury * treatment designed to help patients reach optimal level of functioning and reintegrate into the community * areas of care include physiatry, nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, therapeutic recreation, psychology, psychometry, nutrition, pharmacy, and social work
Fees: Most services covered by OHIP
Application: Medical referral required
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: People 16 years and older with a traumatic or non-traumatic spinal cord injury * must be medically and surgically stable * must be willing to participate * must have a need for an integrated rehabilitation program with identifiable goals * must have undergone appropriate tests for infections * must have a signed agreement by the referring physician that assures a discharge placement if determined necessary by the admitting physician
