Service Description: Dental care program funded by the Provincial government * provides free, routine dental services for low income adults who are 65 years of age or older * coverage period ends yearly on July 31, no matter when enrolled in the program

Coverage includes :
  • check-ups including scaling, fluoride and polishing
  • repairing broken teeth and cavities
  • x-rays
  • removing teeth or abnormal tissue (oral surgery)
  • anesthesia
  • treating infection or pain (endodontic services)
  • treating gum conditions and diseases (periodontal services)
Fees: None * funded by provincial government
Application: Apply to the program online or by mail (you may also pick up an application at local public health unit) * must have Date of Birth, a valid Ontario address, Social Insurance Number (SIN) or Temporary Taxation Number (TTN) and to have filed taxes in the previous year * for all other questions and information, call or visit the website
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: 65 years of age and older * resident of Ontario * meet the income requirements - an annual net income of $25,000 or less for a single senior or a combined annual net income of $41,500 or less for a couple * have no other form of dental benefits, including private insurance or dental coverage under another government program such as Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program or Non-Insured Health Benefits
