Library Launches Summer Programs for Children

Embark on the ultimate treasure hunt this summer by visiting Library programs at locations throughout Stratford. But first, don’t forget to pick up a treasure map at the Library! Registration for the annual TD Summer Reading Club begins on Monday, June 15th. Registered children receive free logbooks, activities, stickers, and a schedule of events focused on reading, playing, creating and imagining!

All programs are free, drop-in and open to all ages unless otherwise specified. Please visit www.stratford.library.on.ca/play for further details. Climb the reading ladder with the Stratford Fire Department on Tuesday afternoons, fly away with the Stratford Municipal Airport on Thursday evenings and get creative at Maker Mondays.

We’re kicking things off at our Summer Reading Club Launch Party in the Stratford City Hall Auditorium on Monday June 29th from 7-8pm. Explore the arts of Africa through storytelling, African dance and drums at Once upon an African Village, presented by Afroculture with story tellers Adwoa and Fulé Badoe. The launch is in partnership with the World Festival of Children’s Theatre 2016 and is supported by the Stratford & District Leisure Activity Council. This event is free and fun for all ages.
Open up your world at the Stratford Public Library!
