Service Description:
|
Supports for older adults, and adults with disabilities * helps people remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible * recreation centre for adults age 50 and over promoting health, active aging * seasonal income tax program offered (call for details)

Assisted Living/Supportive Housing
- Assistance with daily living skills, such as personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, house management * older adults are provided with minimal to moderate assistance for tasks such as homemaking and personal care * personal medical alert unit

Client Intervention and Assistance
- One-on-one supports for coordinating services, including personal advocacy, filling out forms, income tax clinics, and telephone reassurance * interventions for people facing critical life changes, such as abuse, or isolation * referrals to other community support services as necessary * offer advice and referral to Alarm Care

Diners Club - Weekly Lunch
- Monthly social group dinner program and social activities for older adults

Equipment Lending Service (Free)
- Equipment loan program including assistive devices and medical equipment

Foot Care Clinics
- Basic foot care provided by qualified staff at the Ingersoll Seniors' Centre * foot care includes care of corns, calluses, fungal nails, and filing and trimming of nails, Foot Care Clinic $25, Tuesday & Friday, call for appointment
