Adult academic upgrading programs, including free Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS), free Academic and Career Entrance Certificate Program (ACE), free Occupation-specific Language Training (OSLT) for newcomers to Canada; and Grade 12 equivalent college-level courses
Occupation-specific Language Training
- Workplace language training program for newcomers to Canada * program includes interacting effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients, written communication and comprehension, with a focus on occupation-specific terminology, workplace practices, cultural awareness, and searching for Canadian work experience * assists newcomers to develop language and communications skills to develop strong interviewing, networking, and job-search communication skills
